Job Title:

Health & Safety Engineer

Job Objective:

To oversee the implementation of health and safety standards in workplaces and facilities, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, with the aim of protecting lives, assets, and minimizing risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations across all work sites.
  • Conduct risk assessments, analyze incident causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Supervise safety systems (firefighting systems, PPE, alarms, emergency exits, etc.).
  • Deliver training and awareness programs on occupational health and safety.
  • Inspect, test, and ensure the maintenance of safety equipment and tools.
  • Coordinate with official authorities (Civil Defense, Ministry of Labor, regulatory bodies) regarding safety standards.
  • Prepare periodic reports on safety performance, incidents, and injuries.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and ensure readiness of teams and equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Safety, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in health & safety engineering or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, ISO45001).
  • Proficiency in using relevant computer applications and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
