The MEP Estimation Engineer – Tendering is responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works in construction projects. This role involves analyzing tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings, coordinating with project teams, and developing competitive and compliant bids.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications for MEP systems.

Prepare detailed quantity take-offs (QTO) and cost estimates for MEP works including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to clarify scope and technical requirements.

Develop competitive tender proposals and support commercial submissions.

Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities), cost schedules, and pricing documents.

Identify risks, assumptions, and exclusions in tender documents and provide recommendations.

Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and validate costs.

Ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and local codes.

Assist in post-tender analysis and negotiation with clients when required.

Maintain records of tender estimates, revisions, and documentation for future reference.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (MEP specialization preferred).

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in MEP estimation and tendering for construction projects.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Excel, and estimation software (like Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications accurately.

Knowledge of local construction codes, standards, and tendering procedures.
