Role Main Purpose: 

As the BI & Data Analytics Director, you will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution of data analytics initiatives within the organization. You will lead a team of data professionals to transform data into actionable insights, helping to enhance performance, improve fan engagement, and optimize business operations.

Operational Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Leadership:

Lead the development and implementation of the business intelligence and data analytics strategy.

Align analytics initiatives with overall business goals to drive performance and growth.

  • Team Management:

Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of data analysts and BI specialists.

Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the analytics team.

  • Data Analysis & Insights:

Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources.

Develop advanced analytics models and techniques to provide insights into player performance, fan behavior, and market trends.

  • Collaboration:

Partner with key stakeholders in marketing, operations, and other departments to identify analytics opportunities.

Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to ensure effective data communication.

  • Reporting & Visualization:

Establish and optimize reporting frameworks to deliver insights through dashboards and visualizations.

Present findings and strategic recommendations to the executive team in a clear and impactful manner.

  • Technology Oversight:

Evaluate and implement data analytics tools and platforms that enhance data capabilities.

Ensure data governance and security best practices are followed.

Education & Professional Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics, ideally in the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Strong proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Other Knowledge & Skills:

  • Deep understanding of sports metrics and analytics methodologies.
  • Experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and big data technologies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data clearly.
