The Project Controls Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the project controls processes and systems to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and scope. This role involves collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective project controls strategies, tools, and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project control plans, including cost management, schedule management, risk management, and change control processes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress and performance.
  • Prepare and analyze project reports, including cost reports, progress reports, and earned value analysis.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and team members on project controls best practices and tools.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Implement and maintain project controls software and systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Train and mentor project controls staff on project controls methodologies and tools.
  • Participate in project reviews and audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Continuously improve project controls processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project controls, preferably in the construction, engineering, or IT industries.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficient in project controls software and tools, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and earned value management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in project controls.
