Sales Manager

A Sales Manager analyses local market trendsand competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotela leader in the marketplace through the development of future andrepeat business.

What will I be doing

As Sales Manager you will analyse local market trends andcompetitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel aleader in the marketplace through the development of future andrepeat business. Specifically you will be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Analysis local market trends and competitoractivity to identify business leads
  • Developcustomer accounts and travel within the local area to drivebusiness into the specific hotel/cluster and to increasemarket/customer share in all revenue streams
  • Negotiate room rates/packages with corporateclients
  • Develop and implement creative localmarketing channels including social media channels
  • Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordancewith current business and pricing conditions
  • Work within current business strategies and recognisingpotential opportunities
  • Cooperate with otherdepartments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experienceand build strong comprehensive sales programs
  • Attend Sales events as required
  • Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needsof the Sales Director and senior management to include thereporting of appointments calls made and business leads
  • Answer customer queries in a prompt and professionalmanner
  • Manage staff performance in compliancewith company policies and procedures
  • Recruitmanage train and develop the Sales team
