The successful candidate will identify andpursue new business opportunities develop strategic partnershipsdrive revenue growth and monitor market trends and competitivelandscape within the drilling chemicals and petrochemicalssector.
ThePosition:
The appointedBusiness Development Manager will:
- Conduct market research toidentify potential customers market trends and competitivelandscapes.
- Develop and implement strategiesto target new clients and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potentialbusiness opportunities.
- Collaborate with themarketing team to develop effective strategies for leadgeneration.
- Identify and establish strategicpartnerships with key industry players including chemicalmanufacturers distributors and suppliers.
- Negotiate and close partnership agreements to enhance productoffering and market research.
- Collaboratewith crossfunctional teams to ensure successful implementation ofpartnership initiatives.
- Develop and executesales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clientsproviding exceptional customer service and support.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrationsto prospective clients.
- Collaborate with thesales team to develop competitive pricing strategies andproposals.
- Stay updated on industry trendsmarket dynamics and regulatory changes affecting the chemicalsector.
- Monitor competitor activities andadjust business strategies accordingly.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management regardingmarket opportunities and potential risks.
- Work closely with the product development team to identify marketneeds and opportunities for new product development.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timelyand efficient delivery of products and services.
- Provide feedback and input to the marketing teamregarding promotional materials campaigns and marketpositioning.
The Candidate:
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- At least eight yearssales / business development experience in the chemicalsindustry.
- A minimum bachelors degree inchemistry or chemical engineering
- Provenexpertise in market analysis strategy development and clientmanagement
- A keen understanding of thetechnical and regulatory aspects of the chemicalsindustry.
- Specific technical/applicationsknowledge to include drilling fluids emulsifiers brines acidizingfluids fracturing fluids gelling agents corrosion inhibitors scaleinhibitors surfactants polymers biocides and/or antifoamagents.
