Plans, directs, organizes and coordinates the overall quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation activities to help achieve the Hospital's mission, vision, and strategic priorities.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Leads the organization-wide accreditation process in collaboration with the accreditation Committee by linking the quality improvement process to the external and internal performance standards.
  • Provides direction and management of the Hospital's wide performance improvement (PI), patient safety and accreditation activities and helps develop related (hospital -wide) plans.
  • Enhances hospital wide staff awareness in relation to quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation through education, effective communication, and interdisciplinary project management activities.
  • Assigns work, establishes priorities, monitors performance and submits periodical clear and concise reports. Ensures all transactions processed are authentic and in accordance with hospital policies / procedures and governmental regulations, as applicable.
  • Perform clinical responsibilities within related specialty such as (Nursing, Laboratory, Respiratory, Pharmacy, etc.) as assigned.
  • Monitors, assesses and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery processes, internal reporting relationships, and identifies opportunities or areas for improvement.
  • Maintains collaborative and effective relationships with other key management personnel and keeps abreast of significant economic, social and technical trends, best practices and regulatory guidelines related to job functions.
  • Ensures that Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) requirements are met at the hospital.
  • Chairs and/or serves as a member of committees / taskforces as assigned.
  • Monitors the performance and guides the professional development of Quality Management Department.
  • Oversees the development of effective systems for the implementation and tracking of performance projects. Ensures that PI projects are effectively linked with key Hospital processes and are aligned with the Hospital's mission and vision.

Education:


PhD or Master's Degree in Healthcare Quality Management, HospitalAdministration, or other related discipline is required, and Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or other Healthcare related discipline is required.


Experience Required:


Nine (9) years of related experience in Patient Safety/ Risk Management, including five (5) years at a managerial position with PhD or twelve (12) years with Master's Degree is required.


Other Requirements(Certificates):

  • Certificate Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), certified professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or related Healthcare Quality certificate is preferred.
