Assistant Director, Quality Management

Assists with planning, organizing and coordinating the overall quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation activities to help achieve Healthcare Delivery's (HD) mission, vision, and strategic priorities.


Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists the Director in leading HD-wide accreditation process in collaboration with the accreditation committee by linking the quality improvement process to the external and internal performance standards.
  • Assists in providing direction and management of HD wide performance improvement (PI), patient safety and accreditation activities and helps develop related (HD-wide) plans.3. Assists in enhancing HD wide staff awareness in relation to quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation through education, effective communication, and interdisciplinary project management activities.
  • Assists in monitoring performance and submits periodical clear and concise reports. Ensures all transactions processed are authentic and in accordance with HD's policies / procedures and governmental regulations, as applicable.
  • Perform clinical responsibilities within related specialty such as (Nursing, Laboratory, Respiratory, Pharmacy, etc.) as assigned.
  • Assists in evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery processes, internal reporting relationships, and identifies opportunities or areas for improvement.
  • Ensures collaborative and effective relationships with other key management personnel and keeps abreast of significant economic, social and technical trends, best practices and regulatory guidelines related to job functions.
  • Chairs and/or serves as a member of committees / taskforces as assigned.
  • Assists in monitoring the performance and guides the professional development of Quality Management Department.
  • Assists in the development of effective systems for the implementation and tracking of performance projects.
  • Assists in establishing and defining standards for quality assessment and improvement and ensures that there is a mechanism in place for monitoring, evaluation and remedial action.

Education:

Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required:


Ten (10) years of related experience including four (4) years in a managerial position with Master's, or twelve (12) years with Bachelor's Degree is required.


Other Requirements(Certificates):

  • Certificate Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), certified professional Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or related Healthcare Quality certificate is required.
