Parsons are looking for an amazingly talented
Senior HS&W Manager to join our team. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Infrastructure services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan.

It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Senior HS&W Assurance Manager will manage and implement work health and safety systems, culture, and practices in safety to minimize harm to Program employees and assets.
  • The HS&W Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to P&D Health, Safety and Environmental standards across all aspects of the program and auditing CMA / CMR for proper implementation of Safety controls
  • Promote and provide leadership for a safe working environment at project site
  • Provide leadership and support to the Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) Team.
  • Coach, mentor and develop the HS&W team and all employees in order to achieve the required outcomes in line with strategic plans.
  • Collaboratively assist, coach, influence and support the Senior Management Team to make informed decisions, to enable a strong HS&W culture and improved performance.
  • Develop performance reports of all HS&W Programs and report regularly (as required).
  • Support workforce development and capacity building strategies which are important components of health promotion.
  • Fully comply with all relevant Work Health and Safety legislation, take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of staff and visitors
  • In collaboration with the Head of Welfare & Wellbeing, develop and implement the Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environmental Strategy to build a positive HS&W culture and continuously improve HS&W performance, consistent with contemporary practice, current research and legislative compliance requirements.
  • Work with Head of Welfare & Wellbeing to develop and implement a HS&W System and HS&W Frameworks across all program functions ensuring it supports the strategic plan and company objectives.
  • Provide information and advice to management and governance related to serious HS&W risks to the program and facilitate collaborative interactions to devise appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain HS&W reporting systems and, with support of the Executive Leadership and Management Teams, facilitate a reporting culture to monitor incidents and injuries and identify risks.
  • Develop and improve internal audit processes and tools for the Head of Welfare & Wellbeing and HS representatives and managers on HS&W hazards and risks
  • Provide timely, highquality reports and other written communication for a variety of audiences
  • Identify Safety technology and solutions that can drive a health, safety and wellbeing focus across the program to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Manage the development and implementation of strategic plans, policies, processes and practices to support the implementation of health, safety & wellbeing projects of strategic importance.
  • Promote and provide active leadership for a safe working environment at program / project site, this includes and is not limited to:
  • Reducing potential for injuries to staff, contractors and members of the public;
  • Partaking in lead and lag reporting practices;
  • Championing safety in all activities;
  • Having confidence and authority to immediately stop any dangerous activities;
  • Promote and drive safe work practices which improve lost time injuries and workers compensation due to minimizing injuries; and promote wellbeing and preventative activities.
  • Plan and execute a program for HS&W training, motivation and further competency development for site personnel to ensure site HS&W training programs are implemented.
  • Promote a HS&W culture which is consistent with Parsons leadership ambitions and values and defining and implementing Site Specific HS&W Program and Plans.
  • Record all incidents, reporting details to Client as per approved arrangements
  • Support the incident investigation process to ensure that appropriate causal analysis undertaken, and suitable corrective/preventive actions identified. contribute to Contractors' investigations to understand the causes and influencing factors.
