Role Overview:
As the Community Lead, you will play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive, energetic, and collaborative Community within AstroLabs.
You will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships among our members, coordinating and hosting events, and providing essential support to our startup and business community.
Your efforts will contribute to making AstroLabs the go-to hub for leading entrepreneurs and companies in Riyadh and the region.
Responsibilities:
Community Engagement
- Develop and nurture relationships with members, fostering a thriving community in person and online.
- Make connections and introductions for members, leveraging alumni, partners, etc.
- Proactively seek members' feedback and take positive action to improve member experience.
- Propose, plan and execute new initiatives for the community based on the insights gained from interactions with the community.
- Event management: workshops, webinars, networking sessions, upskilling opportunities, mentoring sessions, etc.
- Draft communications and contribute in sharing information about events, opportunities, newsletters, posts on social media, benefits, etc., with the community so they're well informed and up to date.
- Build and maintain relationships with local business organizations, startup accelerators, and industry and ecosystem partners to enhance our ecosystem.
Member support
- Resolve members' issues in a timely manner and proactively address their concerns and feedback to deliver a positive experience for all members.
- Provide guidance and resources to members within the community, helping them navigate challenges and connect with relevant resources.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the offerings and ensure members are receiving maximum value from their membership.
Partnerships
- Maintain relationships with existing partners, ensuring they're engaged and delivering
- Assess new partnership opportunities and lead communication to establish new partnerships
- Provide clear benefit to partners to maintain positive relationships
- Look for opportunities to leverage partner networks and expertise
- Communicate and connect our community members to partners
What do you need to be successful in this position?
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of work experience in community management, event planning, entrepreneurial ecosystems, or a related role.
- Business understanding and passion for entrepreneurial and business communities.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and customer service skills. A natural "people person" with drive, enthusiasm and high energy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to write professionally. Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Experienced in planning and launching initiatives, events, projects or businesses.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Highly skilled at prioritization and time management. Able to multitask and handle a varied workload with multiple priorities and projects.
- Able to own projects from start to finish, work independently, and coordinate with teams.
- Driven by impact and outcomes. A serious "make it happen" attitude.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Apps (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Forms).
- Previous experience in a coworking space, incubator/accelerator, or entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms and basic content creation tools is a plus.
- Demonstrate integrity, dependability, ownership, accountability, selfawareness, work ethic, and empathy.
- Be a brand ambassador for AstroLabs and represent the business with a professional and positive attitude at all times.
