The Culture and Engagement Manager is responsible for executing and implementing strategies, events and activities to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention within the organization. This role involves planning and executing various events and activities aimed at fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The incumbent will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for creating memorable experiences for employees.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute an employee engagement strategy aligned with the company's goals and values.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage a variety of events and activities designed to promote team building, morale, and camaraderie among employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure events and activities meet the needs and interests of employees.
  • Partner with Human Capital to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Create and manage budgets for employee engagement programs and events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in employee engagement and events management.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees, soliciting feedback and suggestions for enhancing the employee experience.
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to support event planning and execution.
  • Manage logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and audiovisual requirements, for all company events.
  • Oversee the development of promotional materials, communications, and invitations for events, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Handle all aspects of event coordination, including scheduling, staffing, setup, and cleanup, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures related to employee engagement, events, and workplace conduct.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging through thoughtful event programming and engagement initiatives.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of related experience of which a minimum of 2 years should be in a similar position / responsibility.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Communications, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field

ORGANIZATION-WIDE COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in event planning, project management, or employee engagement roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for designing innovative and engaging employee experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software (e.g., Eventbrite, Cvent).
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management principles.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for event planning and execution.
