Job Summary

The role holder is responsible for managing career programs and career planning activities at STC to ensure a healthy pipeline of high-achieving candidates to meet future requirements. They are also responsible for institutionalizing processes for defining clear career paths aligned with STC's business objectives. The role holder shall carry out their duties in accordance with stipulated business policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities

  1. Participates in the development and implementation of the Career Management General Directorate plans, aligned with corporate objectives.
  2. Directs and manages the Career & Talent Management Department mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes to achieve high performance standards.
  3. Manages and controls change in the Career & Talent Management Department, providing necessary guidance and support for continuous improvement.
  4. Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards in the Career & Talent Management Department.
Core Responsibilities

Strategy Planning & Implementation

  1. Participates in strategy formulation by providing support and inputs to the General Manager of Career Management.
  2. Leads the implementation of the Sector strategy and develops policies and procedures for the Career & Talent Management Department to achieve desired objectives.
Career Planning
  1. Ensures periodic review of STC's employee competency dictionary and introduces required amendments aligned with business requirements.
  2. Plans individual career paths for high-achieving candidates based on future needs and company requirements.
  3. Oversees coordination with the Performance & Rewards Department to provide inputs on performance management programs related to employee competencies and development plans.
  4. Manages the design and update of employee competencies database.
  5. Manages the entire process of on-the-job training services for employees at Level 4 and below.
Assessment Centers Management
  1. Assists the Management Training Department in finalizing vendor contracts for conducting assessment centers.
  2. Coordinates with vendors to design the scope of work for assessment centers.
  3. Develops objectives and requirements for assessment centers, coordinating with the Management Training Department for delivery.
Career Program Management
  1. Manages all services related to talent programs, scholarship programs, professional development programs, professional career path programs, and mentorship programs.
  2. Develops and manages additional career management programs aligned with STC's HR strategy.
People Management Responsibilities
  1. Defines goals and key performance indicators for each team member, ensuring effective application of the STC performance management process.
  2. Plans and selects manpower in the Career & Talent Management Department aligned with business and operational plans.
  3. Ensures high employee engagement and capability development by providing ongoing feedback and coaching team members in the Career & Talent Management Department.
  4. Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed to meet objectives.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business Administration/Engineering or equivalent.

Master's degree in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources is preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3-4 years in a similar role.

Nature of Experience

Prior experience in managing broad-based HR functions with a special focus on career planning.
