WSP Middle East is seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Manager with a strong background in Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) power plants. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the power sector, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Your new role, what's involved?
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the QA/QC program for CCGT and OCGT power plant projects.
  • Ensure compliance with international quality standards (ISO 9001, ASME, API, etc.).
  • Review and approve quality control plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate project quality performance, conducting internal audits and inspections.
  • Manage a team of QA/QC engineers and inspectors, providing guidance and training.
  • Oversee the material inspection, welding, and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) processes.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials, equipment, and construction activities.
  • Investigate non-conformities, implement corrective and preventive actions, and report findings to management.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and third-party inspection agencies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain and update quality records, reports, and certifications for project handover.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in QA/QC management within CCGT and OCGT power plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, ASME codes, and welding/NDT processes.
  • Experience with power plant construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures, material specifications, and equipment testing.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Certification in ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, AWS, ASNT, or API is an advantage.
  • Experience in managing QA/QC activities for large-scale power plant projects.
  • Knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
