The HR business partner works closely with leadership to gain full understanding of business drivers, strategy and HR requirements and translate them into appropriate talent management solution in line with the group HR strategy.

The HRBP is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the country, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations, being the custodian of the company culture and employee engagement at country level, and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's objectives.

Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment:

  • Support and consult leaders to define and implement a Strategic Talent Plan that supports the business to achieve their vision and purpose.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to support workforce planning and succession strategy.

Team Leadership and Change Management:

  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including HRBPs, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, L&D (whether in solid or dotted line reporting capacity).
  • Define, adapt and implement country HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company's goals and global guidelines.
  • Responsible for overseeing and executing the annual HR calendar and annual HR events in country (performance management, annual salary reviews, talent roundtables, succession planning, etc.).

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and employment standards.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the executive leaders in country/cluster on all people-related matters.
  • Handle employee relations issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in line with company policies and local regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal HR stakeholders regarding HR strategy in country, including CoEs, transformation office, and other peers.
  • Participate in and contribute towards global cross-functional programs and initiatives in line with the group people strategy.
  • Support global HR priorities devised by global HRBPs including but not limited to employee development, capabilities building, organization design and optimization, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions.

Culture & Engagement:

  • Partner with the executive leadership team in country to drive a high engagement, high performance culture.
  • Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team and foster a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to make data-driven decisions and provide insights to leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

6+ years of experience in human resources roles, progressing to a strategic business partner position.

Certification in Human Resources (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, PHR, SPHR) is a plus.

  • Business Acumen: Understand the organization's goals, industry trends, and the broader business context to align HR strategies effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey HR policies, address employee concerns, and collaborate with management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with both employees and departmental leaders.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, provide creative solutions, and make informed decisions to resolve HR-related challenges.
  • Change Management: Proficiency in guiding organizations through change, whether it be structural, cultural, or procedural.
  • Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and developing talent to meet organizational needs.
  • Analytical skills to interpret HR data, identify trends, and use insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Coaching and Conflict Resolution: Ability to coach managers, provide constructive feedback, and effectively resolve conflicts within the workplace.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office applications.
