Summary Of the Job

The main task of a Product Specialist is to represent J&J Innovative Medicine in front of healthcare professionals, ensuring that J&J Innovative Medicine products are used based on their own merit, and according to their clinical indications, while respecting all J&J Credo obligations. The Product Specialist promotes registered Innovative Medicine (IM) products within registered indications to increase IM product access in collaboration with other functions by detailing the IM product's value to serve more eligible patients.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maximize Patient share of assigned products through understanding the patient pathway, ensuring sales are maximized and all sales processes are conducted in compliance with J&J guidelines, quality standards, and local laws.

This Is Achieved Through:

  1. Using a multichannel approach to reach out to HCPs (face to face, email, phone calls, presentations when required) with the quality and quantity according to CVT strategy, providing quality call feedback for each visit.
  2. Achieving market share target for the assigned territory.
  3. Promoting IM's image as a scientific transformational digital innovator within assigned accounts and organizing promotional/digital scientific meetings.

Maximizing J&J Innovative Medicine's Access Reach Through:

  1. Full account mapping, understanding logistical processes, product listing processes, contracting, account stakeholders, and decision-making processes within the account.
  2. Developing and maintaining long-term engagements with customers/stakeholders (e.g., Directors of Pharmacy, Senior Procurement Managers, Tender Managers, and Hospital Management).
  3. Identifying short and long-term business opportunities according to the Business Unit strategy in collaboration with the Market Access team.

Ensuring Execution Excellence Through:

  1. Fulfilling all Customer Interaction Excellence (CIE) index and KPIs within the agreed timelines, including updating the database, accurate reporting of visits to HCPs with valuable call feedback, proper handling of samples, and continuous improvement of qualitative performance.

Maintain updated knowledge of disease areas, products, and competitors through:

  1. Achieving results in scientific quizzes organized by CVT according to the manager's expectations, attending all assigned training courses, and capturing learnings to show improvement in technical and ethical business practices, organizing assigned activities while respecting all compliance rules and using the correct CRM system as stipulated in related SOP.

Compliance with set guidelines, policies, and SOPs of J&J and local regulations includes:

  1. Local laws & HCBI guidelines, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Policy of business conduct and other J&J policies, pharmacovigilance rules notifying within company regulations about Adverse Events & Product Quality Complaints, and quality and compliance practices according to global fleet safety standard requirements and local traffic laws.

  1. Result oriented.
  2. Demonstrating leadership and Credo imperatives competence.

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of Pharmacy.
  • Experience: 0-2 Years.
  • Digital knowledge is an advantage.
  • Language: Written and spoken fluency in English & Arabic.

Technical/Functional Skills Required:

  • Should behave according to Credo and J&J leadership imperatives.
  • Should be highly aware of all factors affecting his/her territory & account performance, reporting to his/her manager all information affecting business results.
  • Should show a high sense of urgency and ability to act on business opportunities using analytical skills and disciplined execution.
  • Should show collaborative behavior and ability to work in a team contributing to team business.
  • Required to be competitive, always striving to push his/her product to a leadership position while following compliance rules.
  • Required to report information affecting J&J Innovative Medicine's image or any misconduct by any internal or external stakeholder that might affect company image or performance.
