Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas:

Impact on the Business

  • Researches and establishes sourcing channels, both internal (e.g. employee referral on HBSA Intranet) and external (recruitment consultants, advertisements, online job portals) to ensure a healthy pipeline of prospective talent.
  • Develops and releases various vacancy related communications (internal and external) and utilises various channels to source potential candidate profiles in line with the requirements of the vacancy (e.g. level/function).
  • Oversees the process of assessment of potential candidates through coordinating with relevant stakeholders from the divisions/departments to enable selection of quality talent within defined timelines.
  • Participates in the selection process as and when required in order to assess the cultural fit with HBSA's organisational context, values, standards and competencies.
  • Drafts and reviews interview or assessment summaries for candidates, seeking inputs from other stakeholders where required.
  • Negotiates and recommends compensation and benefits to selected candidates to maintain equity in line with HBSA pay philosophy.
  • Manages the annual graduate recruitment program to attract, recruit and select the best talent available.
  • Maintains relationships with universities and represents HBSA on campus for graduate presentations and recruitment.
  • Directs the undertaking of pre-employment checks in line with HBSA's policies and procedures and finalises job offers after seeking relevant approvals.
  • Coordinates the process for the induction of new employees, to ensure the completion of all key on-boarding activities and to warrant all the employees have legally binding employment contracts, legally compliant employment policies and handbooks.
  • Handles recruitment related queries from various departments to act as a focal point for HBSA employees.
  • Maintains an updated candidate profiles database and analyses statistical reports and other data to monitor applicant flow, selection, and turnover.
  • Coordinates and participates in the HBSA Career Day initiative locally and internationally.
  • Maintain the departmental headcount within the agreed Annual Operating Plan for the related department.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Implements the risk policies and processes (operational, regulatory, financial, informational, reputational and audit risks), ensuring that these meet regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Implements the internal control systems in the department and participates in the departmental audits.
  • Implements practices to bridge gaps identified during departmental audits.

Experience/Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • CIPD certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential; Arabic is preferred.

Experience:

  • Around 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a relevant role.
  • Prior experience in a recruitment role.
