As a member of our Middle East Sales team, you will develop, implement and manage the strategy to grow our international portfolio profitably and achieve significant market share in the Middle East. This is both a challenging and exciting opportunity which requires you to develop a detailed understanding of every aspect of the international business and work with all our departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing a distribution network of brokers / consultants and strategic partners to ensure profitable growth.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Generate and follow up new business leads to meet sales and profitability targets in line with overall strategy;
  2. Research and develop new business opportunities within assigned industry categories / market segments;
  3. Prepare focused, client-specific presentations for new business emphasizing the USP's of Cigna versus the competition;
  4. Develop proactive strategy, with regular reviews, maximizing specific opportunities as they arise;
  5. Assess prospective clients' existing expatriate insurance arrangements to identify and develop new business opportunities;
  6. Build up and maintain distribution network of brokers / consultants and strategic partners;
  7. Act as adviser to prospective clients, brokers / consultants and strategic partners on all aspects of their (clients') expatriate insurance requirements;
  8. Keep abreast of all developments in the market both client and competitor-related, contributing to new product development / business initiatives accordingly;
  9. Liaise with other Cigna offices to develop opportunities;
  10. Liaise with internal departments in line with established procedures to generate growth opportunities whilst maintaining a high level of service;
  11. Participate in key projects as may be required;
  12. Accurate data base management of prospective clients and opportunities by means of CRM software (SFDC).

About you

  1. Min 5 years Sales experience in the corporate market, with international exposure.
  2. Experience in corporate Employee Benefits (group healthcare insurances) is essential.
  3. Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
  4. Ability to work independently to achieve ambitious new business targets.
  5. Numeracy and ability to analyze statistical information.
  6. Highly self-motivated, effective goal setting.
  7. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  8. Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise fashion.
  9. Ability to research, prepare and deliver client presentations in a range of formats and settings.
  10. Effective relationship builder.
  11. Integrity, honesty, and a demonstrated capacity to take, stand and defend own position.
  12. Excellent time management and project management skills.
  13. Excellent presentation skills.
  14. Experience in MS Office Suite.
  15. Fast thinker / problem solver with the ability to work in fast-paced environments.
  16. Team player, able to partner and collaborate with a large number of organizations and functions at all levels.
  17. Regulatory awareness.
