Job Summary
Souring of Payments transaction information from various payments systems (Nordic local payments system and Nordea Payment engine) and provide a full and comprehensive payments data delivery to relevant Internal & External consumers
Will be working in Payment Data ART (part of Payments Hub). Methodology followed is SAFe and process framework is Agile Scrum
Payment Domain Ingestion Service (PDIS)
The purpose of PDIS is to ingest and harmonize payment data from Kafka into various targets systems, it gives a possibility to encapsulate business logic and the ability to bridge between different PDIS uses a java microservice architecture capturing business events and audit log events on Kafka and sending those to downstream systems or databases for eg DB2 databases, audit log system LogI
New Java services are created when requirements for a new input or output (ingestion) context emerge, like java API, rest API for downstream channels or other mainframe systems thru MQ/JMS
Enhancements to existing services would require when change is required by the product owner/consumers
Independence between services in the sense that a service shall not depend on another service to be able to operate
Each service shall have fault tolerance and self healing capabilities, meaning the service is required to be able to understand if it cannot complete its purpose and contain restart/retry mechanisms in combination with logging and alerting thru splunk
Responsibility & Duties
Team member would be required to work on the payment data dev team on the PDIS
TM has to understand the requirements from the PO/Analyst and the do the development or
TM would be required to follow relevant architecture and coding standards and version control standards and quality standards and defect free
Once code is developed, it should be moved to the CI/CD pipeline using bitbucket/Jenkins and walkthrough to be given to the Functional and non-functional testing
If any fixes required due to any defects or bugs, it has to be resolved and performance requirements should be
TM should support the deployment of the new/Change to the pre-prod and
TM member should work with other team members and share and mentor if there are specific skills which other members do not have
TM should participate in daily scrum calls and other scrum ceremonies and follow agile way of Openly shares achievements, problems and suggestions during the scrum
TM should keep the relevant people informed about leaves, holidays and absence from work for any urgent personal
Essential Skills
- Understanding the project requirements
- SAFe setup - As a developer in scrum team, will be responsible for developing/upgrading microservices which will be responsible for consuming the data from source Kafka topics & publish to destination Kaflka topics/database/consumer channels
- Writing Junit test cases
- Working with CICD tools like Jenkins, Bitbucket, Maven .
- Perform code
- Defect fixes
- Working closely with Test specialists in team
- Java 8, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Junit, MQ (preferably worked in IBM MQ interfaces)
- Good to have knowledge in CI/CD devops methods
- Good knowledge in Agile Development practice, Maven, Git, Jenkins, bitbucket
- 5-8 years development experience
