**Job Purpose**:
To Support the implementation of PepsiCo Global EHS Management System (GEHSMS) at GCC & Levant Foods BU level, through leading the Technical Safety agenda and liaise with projects and engineering to fully implement engineering EHS standards and requirements such as machinery safety, hazardous energy, process safety, electrical construction safety and EHS Lifecycle to drive operational excellence in these areas.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Put the EHS Policy into implementation and assume all responsibilities assigned in the GEHSMS.
- Serve as primary Technical Health & Safety manager deploying a technical Health & Safety Strategy and defining BU strategic road map
- Provide oversight and governance of BU Capital spend on new machinery and equipment and conduct the appropriate reviews to ensure compliance with all EHS requirements.
- Owns Technical Safety Program across the business unit and drive related aspects of Procedures, culture campaigns, incident investigations, incidents trend analysis and periodic reporting of Technical Safety KPI’s and Metrics
- Lead the execution of risk mitigation controls related to EHS technical standards (Machinery & Equipment Safety Standard MESS, Explosion prevention, process safety etc.
- Lead the execution of risk mitigation controls related to Fire Safety and FM Global requirements
- Collaborate with projects, engineering, procurement and site EHS to identify and operationalize new technologies and program innovations to help drive technical H&S improvements.
- Lead EHS Technical Committee for the BU.
- Execute BU level risk reduction programs for legacy Machinery Safety programs, ensuring all old equipment is risk assessed and meets the requirements of PepsiCo standards.
- Lead the implementation of the PepsiCo EHS Design Lifecycle for all change projects and new construction projects, ensuring projects have incorporated appropriate funding for Technical Safety design and execution.
- Develop BU level technical safety capability, across EHS, Engineering, and Procurement and with the OEM’s, to ensure operational risks are mitigated to appropriate levels.
- Any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that is in line and supports the job main purpose.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Control & Instrumentation Engineering with +5 years experience in a similar position.
- Excellent Planning & Organizing skills, project management & change management capability.
- Excellent communication and presenting skill
- Knowledge of EHS applicable legislations and standards preferably ISO 13849 and IEC 62061..
- Professional certifications Technical Safety (Functional Safety Engineer or Functional Safety for Machinery Technician Certification TÜV Rheinland, or equivalent) is a strongly preferable.
- Strong people management skills in creating a participative environment and a high-performance team with an experience of managerial position preferably in the same field.
- Self-starter able to work independently with a high degree of business savvy.
- Excellent command of English language and literacy in computer usage.
- Ability to coach and support others to ensure requirements understood/met.
