The purpose of the role is to maintain the efficient working of the School’s ICT equipment and infrastructure in support of teaching and the management of the school and to run and support all aspects of ICT for both the academic and non-academic functions.
- **Main Duties**_
- Proactively monitoring the Schools' network and server infrastructures
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Assist staff with their use of iSAMS.
- Replacing and repairing system components
- Administer the school’s network, IT systems and Applications.
- Install hardware, software and network equipment.
- Maintaining Inventory of IT Assets
- Support teachers and other staff with IT queries
- Assist in cabling, rebuilding computers and imaging.
- Testing new hardware before installation
- Enrolling staff and student devices
- Be fully responsible for the network being able to diagnose and fix faults.
- Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, cabling and networks.
- Assist the academic staff with leading and training staff.
- Develop and implement policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyse the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop, evaluate new technologies and tools for the school.
- Prioritise and respond to ‘trouble tickets’ on the ICT system in a timely manner, providing resolutions where possible, escalating as required.
- Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
- Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components.
- Monitor and develop both the security and user policies to protect school information and resources.
- **Ideal Qualifications and Skills**_
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT middle management or academic related field
- Knowledge of education industry-standard computer hardware and software systems (MAC Operating System, Apple devices)
- Experience with network administration
- Experience managing on-premises servers, storage networks and network-attached storage.
- Familiarity with our software platforms including all Microsoft products.
- School experience would be an advantage but not essential.
