**Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Duties**:

- Developing the department’s work plan and assigning related activities to serve the achievement of the division’s objectives.
- Participating in setting the objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the department that meets the set goals of the division.
- Supervising the implementation of the department’s plans, monitoring workflow, and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensuring that work activities are carried out according to the pre-set performance objectives and suggesting any necessary actions to the direct supervisor.
- Contributing to the division’s budget by setting the department’s budget, as well as monitoring and regulating the department’s expenditures.

**Technical & Executive Duties**:
**2. **Managing the process of identifying the business requirements of the different functions with regards to digital transformation including ERP systems, among others, recommending on best possible solutions, and guiding the implementation of systems and solutions while ensuring their fit to identified requirements, to ensure proper automation of processes.

**3. **Managing and monitoring the installation, maintenance, upgrades, and configuration of systems, solutions, software, and hardware, ensuring fulfillment of business requests, and maintaining consistent performance.

**4. **Monitoring and evaluating Alaqtars’s IT department performance on regular basis, as well as maintaining active communication channels with concerned functions to identify their needs.

**5. **Developing IT security plans and tracking the IT risk assessment process to ensure sufficient protection against any related threats, such as network breaches, to ensure that Alaqtar’s computers and networks are kept secure.

**6. **Developing the IT infrastructure periodic preventive maintenance plans and following up on their execution to ensure that Alaqtar’s IT assets are handled, maintained, and protected appropriately.

**7. **Overseeing troubleshooting activities to ensure proper and timely resolution of emerging issues, as well as following up on sensitive and complex issues.

**8. **Developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, in line with Alaqtar’s business requirements, policies, and procedures; ensuring risks are avoided throughout the business.

**9. **Overseeing all IT systems’ administration activities to ensure a smooth flow of work, the sufficiency of capacity and resources, and user satisfaction.

**11. **Maintaining records and systematic documentation of all work activities related to IT complaints and the respective resolution, to allow for statistical analysis of the function’s performance.

**12. **Maintaining all needed IT Hardware and telecommunications including IP telephony, and copy machines, ensuring proper functionality and accessibility for employees.

**13. **Managing monitoring and security systems, such as Building Management Systems (BMS), and Closed-circuit Television (CCTV), among others, ensuring their functionality while executing any feasible enhancement recommendations.

**14. **Managing procurement activities of all software, hardware, and other IT supplies in coordination with the related entities, as well as maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure that suitable and efficient solutions are implemented with optimum cost.

**15. **Performing any other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data centre management and data governance
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Ability to manage personnel
- BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
