We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions from replacing conventional thermal power plants with renewable energy to developing demand side management strategies.
The role of the Fuel Receiving Marine Package Lead is an essential component of a Jacobs’ delivery of the thermal power program for NEOM, and a key part of positioning Jacobs at the forefront of LNG and future fuel supply, storage, and transmission technologies to meet the requirements of energy transition activities within the wider region.
**General responsibilities include**:
- Lead the Fuel Receiving Marine Package through conceptual design, FEED, tendering and EPC award. Potentially lead downstream execution phase work as agreed with our client.
- Assure the quality of technical outputs through the engagement of the wider Jacobs marine, structures, environmental, and energy teams, including close collaboration with our regional and global Technical Leaders.
- Achieve compliance with scope, technical and operational requirements defined for the Marine Fuels Receiving Facilities as defined by project objectives and Jacobs’ contract.
- Achieve on-time, on-budget completion of the Fuel Receiving Marine Package. Support on-time delivery for adjacent and downstream packages.
- Enhance (or not detract from) existing relationships with the local community.
- Absolute focus on zero harm to all project participants.
- Develop and implement a set of priorities and goals to underpin the success of the technical practice through harnessing the benefits of diversity and inclusion by providing visible inclusive leadership, effective succession planning, exploring recruitment and retention strategies and providing mentoring/sponsorship to staff.
- Shape the direction of the project deliverables and outcomes based on future-focused insights and thought leadership and Jacobs’ focus areas.
- Provide technical leadership and actively participate in Client engagement and business development opportunities in pursuit of future work for the business.
- Identify, manage and mitigate the technical risk exposure to the business by ensuring adequate controls are identified and applied to technical risks in Project Delivery.
- Collaborate with and support the Technical Director cohort to bring the best of Jacobs to bear on every opportunity and project undertaken across the business.
- Collaborate with our global Technical Directors to exceed client expectations and deliver innovative solutions that challenges the power solutions we provide today and reinvents the solutions we provide tomorrow.
- Understand Jacobs sustainability values and priorities and work with Jacobs senior leaders to provide thought leadership to our clients, markets and staff on how these are reflected in the actions we take and the work that we do.

About you:
The purpose of the Package Lead role is to lead, at the most senior level, a regionally recognised technical discipline within the Energy and Power solutions area, delivering innovative solutions that provide superior value to our Clients. You will:
- Minimum requirements shall be a Professional Engineer with significant proven experience. Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in relevant field of study.
- Strong communication skills to articulate a clear technical direction with good social, networking and presentation skills.
- Significant discipline/ industry presence recognized and valued by Jacobs’ clients at the national or international level.
- Significant consulting experience required including business systems, policies and procedures.
- Proactive communicator who can utilise the wider skills within an organisation to provide effective solutions to key client issues at short notice
