Manager, Business Development

Leads the development of new business opportunities inside-out the Hospital, including prospecting potential business partners in the private healthcare sector and performs a preliminary feasibility study for the newly developed business opportunities, as requested by Director, Investment Office. Manages the overall activities and functions of the section to ensure the successful achievement of the Hospital’s Mission, Goals and Objectives.
**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1.Assesses business opportunities in terms of the Hospital Investment Strategy, return and risk objectives, constraints and mandates, service quality enhancement, and other related criteria.
2.Recommends and initiates business opportunities and presents the investment profitability based on the Hospital Strategic Investments Goals and Plans.
3.Develops and oversees high level and comprehensive feasibility and risk management studies related to business opportunities and provides recommendations thereof.
4.Identifies in continuous basis the current and future (national and international) joint venture opportunities.
5.Conducts studies/analysis of the different services of the Hospital and identifies, which needs outsourcing through a Private Sector Partnership (PSP) and/or Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
6.Leads the development of the opportunity and oversees the studies in terms of opportunity scope, roles and responsibilities; Service Level Agreement (SLA) and bid documents.
7.Participates in the negotiation and signing of contracts in regards to the outsourced function/services, ensures cost saving and business competencies of the third party.
8.Manages the commercialization initiatives that aim to increase the Hospital’s revenue source as well as to improve the Hospital services through Public Sector Participation (PSP) Model, Private-Public Partnership (PPP) Model, and/or outsourcing of services, etc.
9.Oversees the business model analysis being conducted for the business opportunity including the concept and financial feasibility study.
10.Coordinates with all related parties and counterparties and represents the Hospital in business opportunity in liaison with other investment Office sections.
11.Collaborates closely with the external service providers such as Financial Advisor and Advisory Consultants to develop and support outsourced solutions and monitors their project deliverables and compliance to the timeline.
12.Ends new business deals by preparing and coordinating the legal requirements of the new business opportunity; drafts and negotiates with the terms of the contract and integrates the contract requirements to the business operations.
13.Manages the issue resolutions, risk mitigation strategies and changes control procedures.
14.Provides advice on best practices and recommendation for ad-hoc business issues raised to the Director, Investment Office, as required.
15.Follows all Hospital policies and procedures.
16.Participates in self and other’s education, training and development as applicable.
17.Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Education**:
Ph.D., Master, or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related discipline is required.
**Experience Required**:
Four (4) years of related experience with Ph.D., including three (3) years in a managerial capacity, seven (7) years with Master’s, or nine (9) years with Bachelor’s Degree is required.
**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
- CFA, CMA or other internationally recognized professional qualification in accounting is preferred.
- Professional qualification in Finance (e.g. CFA) is preferred.
- Computer literacy and English proficiency is required.
- Saudi National is preferred.
