**Core Responsibilities / Tasks**

**Purpose of the Role**

Promote and differentiate BASF as a value-adding, technically excellent and professional customer focused company in the manufacture and supply of "Solutions" to the Mining Industry. Act as the key BASF representative on customer sites, managing relationships, service, product performance, and coordinate BASF support departments as required.

**Functional / Operational tasks**
- Increase sales of products to existing customers and develop new business and opportunities.
- Sustain and develop customer relationships and identify key customer contacts and decision makers.
- To support technical expert teams with arrangement, preparation and conduction of laboratory and industrial trials of products at customer sites
- Create and Maintain Account Concepts for main customers (inclusive Relationship Matrix, Customer Demand based on their needs, Measure plan for Growth, etc.).
- Proactively manage, maintain, and monitor supply of products to customers through accurate monthly forecasting to RSM and communication with Supply Chain.
- Manage maintenance of local stock including proactive handling of dysfunctional stock.
- Keep proactive control of working capital by actively handling overdues, credit management, credit blocks, storage, DSO etc.
- Generate customer reports for visits - to be uploaded in Salesforce and where required, load report or link onto global tech service SharePoint.
- Monthly reports fostered by frequent usage and internal communication via SalesForce.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive customer pricing in the PMM Light system.
- Promote cross BU and segment selling into the mining and mineral processing market.
- Align customer contract content and negotiation closely with Contract Manager and RSM.
- Collect Market Intelligence based on current and potential customers’ chemical demands, competitive behavior, local governmental regulations.
- Ensure personal EHS compliance - Think Safety, Act Safely, every day.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Education: University degree required - preferably in Chemistry, Metallurgy or Chemical/Mining Engineering.
- Working Experience:

- A minimum of 5 years - direct experience in the mineral processing industry, including commercial or business development experience at multiple sites/operations - experience in business interactions with mine operators.
- Proven beneficiation experience
- Network in Mining Industry in Saud Arabia is a plus.
- Experience with SAP, PMM, Salesforce and MS Office.
- Must be capable of working in a multi-tasking environment, be team-oriented and be able to handle difficult situations and solve problems efficiently & effectively.
- Willingness to engage in intensive travel nationally with at least 50% of time spent on site at Waad Al Shamal and Al Jalamid
