- The Corporate Affairs Head GLS will strategically support the business by driving creating an active communications ecosystem which amplifies key narratives, to support Sandoz Gulf, Levant and KSA key priorities; to shape and enhance reputation by building shared value with patients, customers, society, and positioning Sandoz GLS as a thought leader for today and in the future.
- Major Accountabilities:

- With a deep knowledge of the generic & biosimilar industry and key therapeutic segments as well as excellent insights into healthcare systems and the political and economic environment in key geographies and markets, the Corporate Affairs Head GLS pro-actively leads:
- Develop a pro-active Public Affairs and External Engagement strategy for Sandoz
- Work with key stakeholders in the Health Care policy environment to help local institutions and governments appreciate the Sandoz contribution to keeping health care systems sustainable
- Lead initiative to position Sandoz as a trusted partner and policy thought leader, leading in the generics and biosimilar medicines industries
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and partnerships
- Develop and implement strategic internal and external communication plans, with consistent messaging in line with the needs of the business to relevant stakeholders, in order to achieve measurable results.
- Supervise the implementation of consistent internal & external communications plans. Use innovative communication channels (through third party agencies, relevant media outlets and freelance journalists or science writers, social media and new technologies etc.) to strengthen communication efforts and provide multiple feedback mechanisms.
- Manage agencies and other external vendors to secure maximum return on investment, operational excellence and business impact.
- Be an active and connected member of the Sandoz Corporate Affairs community so as to ensure consistent, local alignment
- Ensure compliance in all interaction throughout the organization and maintain regular liaison with the Regional and Local compliance function to ensure that all processes and activities comply with internal and external policies.

**Minimum requirements**
- What you’ll bring to the role:
- Bachelors/Master of Communication, Business, PR or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of Middle East Public Affairs experience, along with strong internal/external Communications experience in a leadership position, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent English & Arabic language skills required - oral and written
- Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment
- Experience in representing a multi-cultural, diverse, international organization (preferably pharma industry), collaborating across boundaries, and managing across functions
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills; experience in conflict management
- Strong business acumen, knowledge of current and future global business trends
- Occasional travel within GLS required
