Job Description

The role of the General Manager reports to the Regional Executive Vice President, MEA, and has a primary objective to support, facilitate and coordinate the development of Informa’s Saudi Arabian business across exhibitions, conferences, and training activities. The General Manager’s core objective is to support Informa in building a successful business in Saudi Arabia through the delivery of outstanding events, and to scale the business as it launches new events in support of Vision 2030.

A key component of the role will be to focus on talent acquisition and training of colleagues, including the establishment of a training academy to support local skills and capability development within the Kingdom.

Further to this, the GM will provide pastoral leadership, be the first point of contact for new business enquiries and an exemplary citizen holding Informa’s values with the utmost regard. We therefore require an experienced and respected leader of people.

The nature of the role will require finesse and tact with the direct engagement with multiple senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.

**Key Performance Indicators**
- Growth and profitability of Informa’s overall business in Saudi Arabia against its business plan
- Development and management of key partners and stakeholder relationship.
- Risk management and ensuring compliance with legislative and customary requirements in Saudi Arabia

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**

**STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT**
- Understanding of the Saudi governmental landscape, including knowledge of key personalities and ministries
- Development and management of key partners and stakeholder relationships
- Support relevant Informa portfolio leads in working with Partners (where appropriate) to create valuable relationships that can accelerate the success of Informa’s events
- Support relevant Informa portfolio leads on the creation and delivery of strategic plans, including pitching for and winning of new events
- Always uphold the brand reputation of Informa as the premier market access provider

**PARTNER MANAGEMENT**
- Work with government agencies, trade bodies, associations and other key partners and stakeholders to ensure business opportunities are maximised
- Conflict resolution and key stakeholder management: ensure Informa’s interests are protected through mediation and the promotion of strong, strategic ties with key partners.
- Become a trusted colleague and partner to multiple internal stakeholders
- Rigorously adhere to Informa corporate priorities by engaging frequently with various functions in several international offices, including in sustainability, compliance, finance, shared services and Group

**BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT**
- Develop a pipeline of new event launches
- Build the Informa brand in Saudi Arabia to support talent acquisition of experienced professional colleagues, training and development programmes, and the creation of functional capabilities within Informa’s Saudi office

**FIDUCIARY AND FINANCIAL**
- Ensure compliance with local and regional legislation

**OPERATIONS**
- Work with the COO and relevant Informa portfolio leads to ensure the strong relationships with venues and key suppliers in Saudi Arabia are created and maintained
- Working with the COO, Regional EVP, and Procurement officers to create a long-term procurement strategy to reduce costs, improve processes and improve supplier service levels

**PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP**
- Pastoral lead for the Saudi office, focusing on well-being of colleagues
- Create an environment which encourages teamwork and collaboration
- Providing regular and structured feedback & coaching sessions to drive a high-performance culture
- Establishment of a training academy to support local skills and capability development within the Kingdom.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility

Qualifications
**Minimum Education Level**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
