Governmental Affair Lead

Jamjoom Pharma has in a very short span of time emerged, as one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Afrasia region. The geographical focus of the company is on countries in the Middle East, Africa, and CIS regions. Strategic focus on selected therapeutic categories has contributed to the rapid growth, market acceptance, and overall success of the company.
**Role Summary**:
Governmental Affair Manager, will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships between Jamjoom Pharma and different levels of government, including local, regional, national, and international bodies. Their primary role is to advocate for the organization's interests, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and monitor and influence public policy that may impact the organization.
**Responsibilities**:
- Developing external relationships using formal and informal channels to liaise with appropriate authorities / bodies or contact persons to facilitate interactions and building partnership.
- Facilitate visits and meetings to serve the company objectives.
- Build appropriate external and internal presentation materials on the Business Line Strategies, Vision, Missions, etc.
- Communicating any new regulations/Feedback/Updates related to Jamjoom Pharma business with government regulators (MISA, SFDA, Local Contents, etc)
- Strengthen the relationship with public agencies through events engaging the community.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Identify key government stakeholders and determine engagement approaches to build relationships and influence policy decisions.
- Stay informed about relevant legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the organization.
- Conduct thorough analysis and assess the potential impact of policy proposals on the organization's operations, reputation, and bottom line.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, agencies, and other relevant stakeholders at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
- Ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Stay up to date with changes in the legal and regulatory landscape and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, regulatory, communications, and executive management, to develop and implement effective strategies for engaging with stakeholders. Coordinate and facilitate meetings, briefings, and other interactions with government officials and external partners.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership with industry associations, trade groups, non-governmental organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to amplify the organization's advocacy efforts and strengthen its influence.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's\Master’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Public Relations or related field.
- Proven experience in government affairs, public affairs, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of government structures, legislative processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant industry sectors and issues affecting the organization.
- Previous experience working with government agencies and regulatory is preferable.
