The opportunity

Project: This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, and systems (SAP Ariba, ERP, and others)
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
- Collaborating with other entities and stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement policies and practices.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to senior management on matters related to procurement, contracting, supplier management, and others.
- Overseeing the work of associate directors/senior manager and their respective teams, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
- Operating the negotiation and execution of contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Developing long-term strategies for sourcing products, including identifying potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, and managing the procurement process.
- Managing supplier relationships to ensure the quality of goods and services, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Monitoring market trends and developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement process improvements.
- Developing and managing departmental budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Representing the organization in a professional manner.
- Attending trade shows, conferences, and other events as needed.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the authority holder.
- Managing and motivating a team of procurement professionals, setting, and achieving departmental goals and objectives.
- Working seamlessly to ensure staff/resourcing and workload delivery matters are monitored and managed effectively.
- Ensuring the business can both forecast and react to variations in workload demand in a planned and effective manner.

About you

You have a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, or a related field, a master's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred, you have experience with contractors, real estate developers, and consultants, also experience in procurement management, including experience in real estate, finance, HR, IT, or other required areas, experience in KSA and in a similar position, you have relevant professional membership (preferred). You have a solid record of delivery on commercial, hospitality, residential and mixed-use projects, strong communication and people management skills, and experience in developing senior-level relationships.

You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or cost consultancy or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
