Event Operations Director

As an Events Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and management of all event operations within our organization. You will lead a team of Event Operations Managers and Specialists, ensuring the successful delivery of various projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the planning and execution of all event operations, ensuring they align with organizational goals and client expectations.
- Timely laying of groundwork to make sure events can lauch with certainty regarding dates and venue
- Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to a team of Event Operations Managers and Specialists.
- Conduct regular team meetings, set performance goals, and provide feedback for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal departments to schedule and plan event assignments, including logistics, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Work closely with external vendors to negotiate contracts, secure necessary services, and coordinate event logistics.
- Review event contracts in detail with senior management, ensuring clarity and accuracy of terms and conditions.
- Ensure that contractual terms, including payment terms and dates, are adhered to throughout the event lifecycle.
- Monitor expenses and labor costs to meet budget parameters while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor the delivery of all goods and services to ensure that contractual terms and client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies that may arise during events.
- Prioritize client satisfaction by maintaining open communication and providing solutions to enhance the event experience.
- Collect payments from clients and stakeholders in accordance with contract terms.
- Prepare and submit all necessary financial documentation and post-event reports to the finance department promptly.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and reconciliation of event expenses.

- Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire and guide your team effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of event planning, logistics, and execution, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, events, and direct reports simultaneously in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in contract negotiation, review, and compliance, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Experience in monitoring expenses, labor costs, and financial management to meet budgetary constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
- Extremely organized and self-motivated, with a track record of taking the initiative
- The ability to identify and resolve operational issues swiftly and efficiently.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in event operations management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts, managing budgets, and delivering successful events.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and clients.
- Certification in Event Management or related field is a plus.
