**Summary of the job**:
The main task of a Professional Sales Lead in **J&J Consumer** is to manage activities to achieve the business objectives within business policies and guidelines as well as budget. At this level, the position has a greater degree of impact on the business results and typically, responsibility for managing the relationship with distributor business. This person will be part of the extended consumer KSA Board.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Business Area Performance**:

- Lead & guide distributor business towards the volume, value and profitability growth in accordance with set goals and strategies.
- Develop realistic and achievable monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and volume objectives.
- Allocate budget in proportion to impact on sales to optimize product profit contribution.
- In conjunction with company guidance and Finance, advocate partners to create incentive programs to meet the sales targets. Business Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial plans to support the strategic plan.
- Prepare commercial plan with distributor to include strategies, situation analysis, action plans, expenses, and sales forecast with corresponding assumptions in accordance with the planning cycle.
- Develop and execute contingency plans necessary to meet changes in the environment.
- Develop strategies regarding products, price, promotion, and distribution.

**Business Area Management**:

- Provide solid business and commercial insights that contribute to high quality decisions related to market research, regulatory, legal and any issue which impacts business area based on the interaction with the different functional areas.
- Develop and expand technical knowledge necessary for business area management and customer interaction.
- Remain ahead of the market, the competition, and the environment. Act as an information resource to all functional areas.
- Provide the critical business feedback that led to development of high-quality promotional materials, programs and make sure to implement and monitor productivity of all promotional programs on the ground.
- Successfully manage distributor/s across the geographical area of responsibility in order to ensure profitable relationship and meeting the highest compliance requirements
- Support distributor with expertise and reformation to Develop SFE and deployment plans for sales force in partnership with the EMEA/AMET related functional areas in order to ensure more efficiency and productivity at all levels e.g., sales force

**Coordination and Communication**:

- Routinely connect with an ever-broadening base of distributor and customers to enhance market knowledge.
- Ensure all necessary information is communicated and packaged to all existing and new stakeholders.
- Keep distributor management & teams informed on industry trends, product acceptance and new product releases.
- Encourage & support Distributor / teams with communications relative to market trends, competitive pricing and activities, new product acceptance and the overall perception of products and strategies/promotions.
- Communicate strategies and tactical plans as required to departments related to the business area so that they are prepared to support the plan.

**Leadership and Development**:

- Provide the leadership and development necessary to achieve sales and profit objectives of business area.
- Provide the best possible leadership support to all subordinate co-workers by creating the best environment for each direct report to excel and grow in their current role, for both long
- and short term.
- Provide short-term and long-term directions for all departments related to the business area, keep departments on track - focused on long-term and short-term goals.
- Develop rapport and positive business environment with an ever-increasing number of key customers/opinion leaders within the industry in order to build the new business and support the sales efforts.
