**Project Overview**:
Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete. The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system. Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

**Position Summary**:
The MEP QA/QC Engineer is responsible to monitor construction quality of various mechanical and electrical commodities and fixtures installed on the project. They will ensure that work is carried out safely, on time, to specification and as per contract requirements.

**Typical Responsibilities**:

- Directs activities of subordinate quality control engineers, and other inspection personnel, as assigned.
- Responsible for construction quality control program activities, such as development and implementation of inspection plans, within assigned discipline.
- Determines requirements for, and directs preparation of, technical and administrative documents and reports.
- Within assigned area, monitors the performance and overall progress of construction inspections to ensure adherence to the field quality control program.
- Maintains quality control records in support of activities in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Implements established project procedures and policies for the performance of assigned functions. Develops discipline specific procedures, as required
- Monitors activities of assigned subcontractors to ensure construction, material and installation comply with project specifications and quality control criteria.
- Perform redline mark-ups to support development of as-built documentation

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications**:

- Typically requires bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or international equivalent) and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or 9-11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Good knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and installation practices of architecture components for the commercial and public facilities such as metro stations, rail stations
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence external stakeholders
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders
- Experience of working in a live operational environment
