**Role description**:

- Roles at this level will operationally manage core projects or programmes of work to deliver defined objectives
- They are responsible for delivering their scope of work in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory and planning controls, and require deep technical knowledge and broad business experience

**Role accountabilities**:

- Oversee an agreed scope of work and/or the operational workload of a consultant team and/or contractors; ensuring allocated work is completed/resources are fully utilised in order to deliver against an agreed programme of work
- Deliver a number of small to medium scale projects or programmes of work including cultural assets, ensuring appropriate use of resources and budgets to deliver the required scope of work within set deadline
- Advising clients on green building technology and ratings systems, primarily the Estidama and LEED rating tool.
- Develop sustainability frameworks and strategies for multiple scales of projects, during the master planning and building design stages.
- Tracking rating system and building strategy processes, writing and editing reports, and presenting LEED or sustainability frameworks to clients, design teams, and contractor
- Demonstrate research experience, as this job will likely demand both directed and individual research into architectural materials and technology, building services systems, green building and urban policy, and social and human comfort issues
- Develop presentation material for reports, presentation and plans.
- Sketching and digital illustrations of building concepts may be expected in order to visualize design strategies for client presentations and other external needs.
- Provide advice to colleagues surrounding behaviours, to ensure adherence to internal and external compliance processes
- Analyse and review a range of data to identify key existing and emerging themes and trends. Use own and others’ analysis to provide recommendations that support project decision-making
- Use own knowledge and experience of industry best practice to review and analyse project processes and policies, providing insightful recommendations that support senior management to improve processes and systems
- Interact effectively and proactively across the organisation, seeking to develop ways to support collaboration and ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet internal customer expectations
- Liaise and collaborate with clients and stakeholders, in order to ensure all parties are informed and aware of project progress and expectations
- Deliver aspects of Arcadis’ vision to their respected project(s)
- Responsible for project definition and delivery

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in a built environment design, Engineering or planning field - E.E. architectural or building engineering
- Knowledge of LEED rating systems
- Knowledge or Estidama Rating System
- Proficient in use of design software, such as SketchUp, Ecotect, etc would be useful.
- Previous professional or academic research experience, such as Master's degree or higher in Mechanical, Architectural, Electrical, Building Science, Policy or other field in the built environment
- Proficient in use of software like Excel, Publisher or other desktop publishing platform, interactive Adobe PDFs
- Understanding of Adobe Products is beneficial (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Must have experience working on building projects in the Middle East
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage relationships with external stakeholders
- Expert’ level expertise in sustainability with an international consultancy
- Knowledge of own area managed and an understanding of wider programme and business
- Experience in managing business relationships at senior-management level
