**OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
The EHS Manager has overall responsibility for managing Health & Environment improvement activities to achieve excellence at Depot/Site level. She/he works with site/country/project EHS and country Managers to improve plans to achieve sustainable EHS excellence by ensuring and providing a safe and healthy environment to our people and to our contractors.
To act as the focal point for EHS for operations associated with Alstom scope. Pro-actively co-ordinating the business’ EHS activities at all Alstom sites to ensure that the businesses meet and exceed their regulatory, contractual and corporate obligations.

Internal: Alstom Senior Management Team, Alstom EHS Network, Other Functions: Head of Ops, Ops Directors, Ops Managers, TCM, Depot Facilities/operations/engineering/technicians.
External: Customers, 3rd Parties Auditors, Contractors, Trade Unions, Regulatory Authority
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Help develop and implement strategies taking into account ALSTOM Business and Corporate requirements for managing and continually improving the company’s processes delivering the required safety and environmental standards.
- Ensure that the relevant EHS requirements of AZDP are effectively applied on site(s)/depot(s).
- Ensure that there are adequate documented safety and environmental processes and procedures in place to address the activities of the business and location. Where practicable, help to ensure that such processes and procedures are common across locations and consider All best practices.
- Communicate widely, effectively and consistently within the company to ensure safety, quality and environmental issues and responsibilities are recognised and addressed by all employees.
- Ensure that safety roles and responsibilities are clear to all within the applicable sites.
- Help to promote a culture, which enables the company to meet its SQDC objectives and gain recognition as an industry leader.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with AlstomEHS and KSA procedures/requirements.
- Develop (where applicable), communicate, implement and monitor EHS Standards within Alstom Businesses to meet regulatory, corporate and customer standards, minimising risks to employees and the company.
- Ensure recommendations related to EHS from investigations and enquiries are implemented.
- Ensure audit results, statistical analysis and corrective actions are reported at scheduled meetings as appropriate, and in a manner consistent with Business systems, and enough audits are undertaken to assess on-going compliance with EHS requirements.
- Ensure any potential risks, bought to the post holders’ attention, are investigated and the correct controls are implemented across the site.
- Ensure that EHS documents and data are maintained to ensure compliance with requirements.

- Support Infrastructure on EHS matters, in selection & management of contractors & suppliers.
- Represent the Business, as necessary, with external bodies and regulators in meetings related to EHS matters.
- Contribute, as a representative, in Environmental, H&S or other joint meetings, through active participation, to improve Business processes.
- Promote a positive culture of active participation, at all levels of the Business, for matters relating to EHS to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Provide and communicate EHS related status reports to higher management.
- Assist the Head of EHS in meeting activities in line with corporate objectives and Alstom Safety Rules.
- Communicate with customers/operators/regulatory bodies in aspects of EHS related incidents.
- Carry out activities necessary in order to help achieve business EHS objectives.
