We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professor in Medical Education to join our team at FakeehCollege.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences, as well as providing support to students on practical sessions, fieldwork, or clinical training.
Main Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design and deliver theoretical sessions using innovative, interactive, and student-centered teaching strategies.
- Supporting Students: Provide guidance and support to students on practical sessions, fieldwork, or clinical training, as required.
- Program Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of program reports and adhere to defined course specifications, learning outcomes, and assessment methods.
- Materials Selection: Review and select textbooks and other instructional materials that facilitate learning.
- Teaching Load and Academic Responsibilities: Complete teaching load and other academic responsibilities as per College regulations.
- Quality Assurance and Enhancement: Guide and support the enhancement of the quality of the teaching and learning process at the College, ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Student Feedback and Evaluation: Seek feedback from students through questionnaires and respond constructively to such feedback.
- Course Reports and Portfolios: Prepare course reports and create plans for improvement for the next semester, as well as prepare course portfolios that include documents of teaching, learning, and assessment activities.
- Program Portfolio and Curriculum Development: Participate in the preparation of the program portfolio, including major program documents, and contribute to the continuous review and development of the curriculum.
- Research Supervision and Academic Integrity: Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students' research projects and dissertations, as well as supervise students' assignments and project work, ensuring fair and equal scholarly activities.
- Strategic Planning and Institutional Committees: Contribute to the assessment and development of the FCMS strategic plan, as well as participate in program and institutional committees and working groups.
- Community Engagement and Research: Monitor program plans, including scientific research and community engagement, and participate in scholarly and research activities related to their respective disciplines.
- Professional Development and Reputation Building: Attend and present research findings and papers at national and international conferences, contributing to the reputation of the College, and publish peer-reviewed papers in journals with appropriate impact factors.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Act as a research mentor for junior staff members and students, lead research teams, and undertake specific departmental roles and management functions as required by the authorities.
