Job Summary

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Coordinator to join our team. As an Engineering Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all procedures and identifying efficient and cost-effective measures for continual improvement, supporting the overall advancement of our quality system.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Maintenance Schedules: Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  2. Maintain Facilities and Equipment: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all electrical panels, motors, electrical appliances, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  3. Lead and Manage a Team: Distribute work to subordinates according to their capabilities to achieve the best results and ensure that all works are done according to the specified standard.
  4. Ensure Safety and Quality: Ensure that all related tools are in a safe place and in good working condition, and follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly to maintain records for future reference.
  5. Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate with other departments' counterparts to ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress and create healthy inter-department relationships.
  6. Develop and Maintain Positive Working Relationships: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  7. Maintain Professional and Friendly Communications: Maintain professional and friendly communications as the first point of call for general external inquiries and correspondence.
  8. Coordinate Operating Systems: Coordinate all operating systems, including ensuring that telephones, computers, printers, photocopiers, recycling, etc. are kept in good working order, including maintaining supplies for operating systems and arranging technical support when required.
  9. Perform Administrative Duties: Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the General Manager, Director of Engineering, and/or Assistant Director of Engineering.
  10. Attend Meetings and Training Sessions: Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Equivalent of a high school graduate.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years' experience in an Engineering department, preferably in a luxury hotel or a similar business environment.
  • Language: Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment: local language - excellent oral and written skills, English - oral and written skills, and additional language - beneficial.
  • Competencies: Operational knowledge of Engineering operations, ability to compute basic mathematical calculations, ability to pleasantly and effectively communicate with guests, hotel management, and hotel personnel.
  • Technical Competencies: Knowledge of hotel 'guest software' is a plus, knowledge of Engineering operation process, knowledge of Engineering procedures and standards.
  • Individual Characteristics: People Oriented, Passionate for European luxury, Entrepreneurial, Straightforward, Building Teamwork, Developing others, Motivating others, Planning and organizing, Problem solving and decision making, Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up, Input and access data in computer, Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous, Work well under pressure coordinating numerous requests.
