Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and deployment of innovative Islamic financial solutions leveraging emerging technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, conducting extensive research, and providing effective recommendations on cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Contribute to the development of knowledge solutions to achieve the Institute's strategic objectives.
  2. Research and Recommendations: Lead extensive research and provide effective recommendations on the best technologies and solutions in the Blockchain, Distributed Ledger Technology, Smart Contract, and Crypto economy.
  3. Challenge Assessment: Assess the technological and development challenges faced by Member Countries in embracing Blockchain-based products and solutions, conceptualize and develop smart and relevant use cases to address those challenges.
  4. Policy and Regulation Analysis: Assess the impact of existing and emerging policies and regulations in Member Countries on their ability and/or willingness to embrace digitally enabled financial products and solutions.
  5. Solution Development: Lead in the development of cutting-edge solutions in collaboration with external and internal sources and supervise them to serve the Islamic finance sector and Islamic Fintech industry.
  6. Market Analysis: Lead in the mapping out of local and regional key digitalization players in Member Countries and their service offerings, which serve Islamic Financial Institutions.
  7. Solution Prototyping: Lead in the development of solutions descriptions, models, prototypes, and Proof of Concept (PoC) for the intended solutions by the concerned Technical Partners and test marketing of the pilot solutions for validating the hypotheses.
  8. Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the Direct Supervisor on his/her performance and results.
  9. Intellectual Property Management: Play a key role in the collaboration with worldwide patent offices for the registration and/or filing of patents/copyrights/intellectual property rights to protect the interest of Institute's proprietary solutions.
  10. Collaboration and Coordination: Oversee close links with other development agencies and IFIs to coordinate and align activities related to FinTech.
Requirements
  1. Education: Master's degree in computer engineering or any related degree.
  2. Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience developing knowledge solutions in connection with Islamic Finance.
  3. Professional Certification: Professional certification in a FinTech field is preferred.
  4. Managerial Experience: Minimum 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience is required.
Skills and Knowledge
  1. Fintech Technology: Advanced knowledge and experience in Fintech technology and applications in Islamic finance.
  2. Digital Economy: Advanced knowledge and understanding of the digital and crypto-based Islamic economy.
  3. Islamic Finance: Very good knowledge of Islamic financial products and markets.
  4. Problem-Solving: Strong ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  5. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
