About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Manager to join our team at Mace, a leading project management consultancy. As a GIS Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the administration of GIS standards and procedures, designing GIS databases and analytical processes, and overseeing the deployment and maintenance of GIS applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • GIS Administration: Lead the administration of GIS standards and procedures, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • GIS Database Design: Design and develop GIS databases and analytical processes to meet project needs, including system development and data configurations.
  • GIS Application Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of GIS applications, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • GIS Data Management: Manage and review GIS submissions from design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to align with program requirements, authority specifications, and contract deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce high-quality standards for GIS data submissions, adhering to deadlines to meet project objectives.
  • BIM Integration: Play a pivotal role in facilitating and supporting the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and GIS applications for enhanced project efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary interface between authorities and stakeholders, facilitating GIS information exchange processes and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Data Consolidation: Consolidate program-wide GIS data into a unified, reliable source of truth to enhance data integrity and accessibility.
  • Innovation: Advise and develop innovative methods to leverage GIS data for new applications, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and assistance related to GIS to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of GIS applications when needed.
  • Collaboration: Actively interface with different functions and departments to identify GIS requirements and opportunities, fostering a collaborative approach to GIS integration across the organisation.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of related experience in GIS, project management, or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Surveying Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Proficiency in BIM and GIS, ESRI ArcGIS, and GIS software applications. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication skills and a working knowledge of industry practices.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, such as Visual Basic, Python, HTML, and systems and peripheral troubleshooting skills.
