Project Overview

This is an opportunity to work on a large new build airport project that will set a global benchmark for aviation experience and aims to attract 120 million passengers by 2030 in Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration of standards and procedures for GIS in adherence to ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Design GIS, database, and analytical processes, including system development, to meet project needs.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of GIS applications, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Manage and review GIS submissions from design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to align with program requirements, authority specifications, and contract deliverables.
  • Enforce high-quality standards for GIS data submissions, carefully adhering to deadlines to meet project objectives.
  • Play a pivotal role in facilitating and supporting the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and GIS applications for enhanced project efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary interface between authorities and stakeholders, facilitating GIS information exchange processes, and ensuring seamless communication.
  • Consolidate program-wide GIS data into a unified, reliable source of truth to enhance data integrity and accessibility.
  • Advise and develop innovative methods to leverage GIS data for new applications, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance related to GIS to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of GIS applications when needed.
  • Actively interface with different functions and departments to identify GIS requirements and opportunities, fostering a collaborative approach to GIS integration across the organisation.

Requirements

  • Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business.
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Surveying Engineer, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in BIM and GIS.
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS.
  • Proficiency in GIS software applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills and a working knowledge of industry practices.
  • Ability to design and maintain GIS databases and other database formats.
  • Proficiency in cartography and map design, including coordinating systems, projections, and map scales.
  • Ability to utilize, convert, and incorporate various types of data into GIS.
  • Knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
  • Systems and peripheral troubleshooting skills.
