Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Foreman to join our team at AL ITTEFAQ STEEL PRODUCTS CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, guiding, and assigning jobs to shift technicians, as well as carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shift activities and ensure the smooth operation of electrical equipment.
- Conduct daily housekeeping in all MCC and switchgear areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- Ensure that proper lockout procedures are followed at all times.
- Perform routine testing of D.G. sets and record parameters for future reference.
- Identify spare parts requirements and submit them to the G-shift Supervisor for approval.
- Maintain accurate daily shift log books with all relevant details.
- Conduct regular plant inspections to ensure that all motors, AC package units, firefighting systems, MCC, plant lighting, conveyor systems, and other equipment are functioning properly.
- Prepare daily energy reports and monitor shift readings taken by technicians during shifts.
- Ensure that sufficient diesel stock is available for D.G. sets operation and follow up with the DRIC store accordingly.
- Provide regular shift status reports and highlight any abnormal observations during plant rounds.
- Coordinate plant shutdown activities and ensure compliance with organizational HS&E policies.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and tidy work environment and adhere to safety instructions related to job tasks.
- Report any damaged PPE, unsafe machines, or equipment to concerned staff and maintain provided PPE in good working condition.
- Avoid horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to concerned staff and attend scheduled safety trainings.
- Exercise the right to refuse any unsafe work.
Additional Responsibilities:
Assume shift-in-charge or supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the designated personnel.
Maintain discipline and punctuality, working in a safe and responsible manner.
