About the Job

This role is a key position within the Mechanical Services Shops Department (MSSD) / HIT & Contractor Operations Division of Asterix Communications.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in leading power generation companies such as GE, Siemens, MHI, BH, and high proficiency in maintenance and operation of gas and steam turbines (heavy duty).

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical support for daily maintenance and machine shop operations.
  2. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
  3. Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment while identifying cost reductions and process improvements.
  4. Introduce and implement the latest technology in repair methods.
  5. Design engineering packages as needed.
  6. Provide coaching and knowledge sharing to junior engineers.
  7. Attend vendor and customer exchange meetings.
  8. Participate in standards value engineering efforts.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the mechanical field.
  3. Strong background in investigating turbine malfunctions, managing turbine outages, and overseeing field projects.
  4. Knowledge of turbine component repair processes and quality control.
  5. Experience in mechanical design, troubleshooting, and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment, including Gas and Steam turbines.
  6. Experience working with OEM facilities like GE, Siemens, MHI, and BH.
  7. Proficiency in English reading and writing.
