Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the receipt and processing of inbound cargo manifests and airway bills, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Work closely with subcontractors to coordinate the movement of cargo, including the preparation of tasking folders, purchase requests, and customs clearance documents.
  • Track and monitor the movement of cargo, ensuring that it is delivered to the correct location and in a timely manner.
  • Closely collaborate with the contracting section to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and that payments are made in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the receipt and processing of outbound cargo manifests and transportation control and movement documents, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and that cargo is delivered to the correct location.
  • Determine the most efficient transportation mode for outbound cargo, taking into account factors such as cost, time, and logistics.
  • Work closely with SDDC and subcontractors to coordinate the movement of sea and air shipments.
  • Provide liaison services with seaport and airport authorities, shipping agents, and internal/external customers.
  • Perform quality assurance actions to ensure that subcontractors are performing their duties and responsibilities in accordance with the prescribed contract.
  • Operate computers, printers, fax machines, and use local area network (LAN)/email to conduct business correspondence communications.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the civilian or military transportation industry preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to understand, speak, read, and write English at an intermediate level.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel, and Word programs.
  • Valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.

Working Environment:

  • Works in a maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.
  • May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
  • Required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.
  • Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensive work handling/lifting equipment.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
