Vendor Relationship Strategist

The Senior Manager - Strategic Vendor Management will be responsible for managing and overseeing IT contracts, developing, negotiating, and reviewing contracts with IT vendors to ensure favorable terms and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires a candidate with extensive experience in vendor management and procurement strategies, focused on fostering strategic partnerships that drive operational excellence and value creation.
Responsibilities:- Vendor Relationship Building: Manages relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the delivery of goods and services according to agreed-upon terms.
- Procurement Team Collaboration: Collaborates with procurement and legal teams to optimize vendor partnerships.
- Risk Mitigation: Responsible for managing key vendor relationships, driving value creation, and mitigating risks associated with vendor partnerships to support the organization's objectives.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring alignment on strategic objectives and performance metrics.
- Internal Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand their vendor needs and align vendor capabilities accordingly.
- Negotiation and Agreement: Negotiates contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms, commitment to quality and delivery, and compliance with local regulations.
- Innovation and Technology Partnerships: Leads initiatives for vendor innovation and technology partnerships, exploring opportunities for new solutions and efficiency gains.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, procurement, or a related field is often required; prefer candidates with a master's degree or MBA.
- Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or contract management, with a proven track record in large-scale projects, at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Negotiation and Contract Management Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in managing complex vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of Local and International Vendor Markets: Knowledge of local and international vendor markets, especially within sectors including construction, entertainment, or tourism.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to vendor performance management.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Linguistic Proficiency: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.
- Vendor Risk Management: Experience in developing and implementing vendor risk management frameworks and performance improvement plans.
