Job Description

Role Purpose: As a Structural BIM Modeling Specialist, you will create and perform structural engineering 3D-BIM modeling, developing designs based on inputs, and conducting model reviews and coordination with other disciplines to achieve company goals. You will ensure the implementation of company systems and standards, particularly for CAD/MICROSTATION/BIM.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  1. Create structural BIM models and design drawings after agreeing on the structural concept with senior engineers.
  2. Generate structural BIM modeling and CAD drawings as per BEP and BIM standards.
  3. Prepare structural design drawings, shop-drawings, and as-built drawings.
  4. Fill parameters and extract COBIE data.
  5. Coordinate with engineers to collect project requirements and ensure consistency between design trades.
  6. Create parametric Revit Families based on design inputs.
  7. Print drawings in various formats for submittals or squad check meetings.
  8. Perform self-eye technical reviews on structural drawings.
  9. Attend technical meetings with clients and peers.
  10. Extract material quantities from BIM for quantity submissions.
  11. Comply with checklists for drawings and BIM models.
  12. Participate in internal technical meetings.
  13. Generate quality assurance packages and checklists.
  14. Resolve modeling clashes and send clash-free models for review.
  15. Perform BIM standardization and norms as per BEP and projects.
  16. Archive markups and provide highlighted drawings to engineers.
  17. Manage drawings folders and track BIM records.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering)

Years of Experience/Sector: 9 years in BIM and Engineering Design

Job-Specific Skills: Software knowledge: Revit, AutoCAD, Navis Works, STAAD.Pro, Lumion, Tekla. Scan To BIM Software: ReCap to BIM Model

Generic Skills: Well-versed in written and spoken communication in English
