Job Title: WHS Officer, Safety Officer

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to join our team in Riyadh. As a WHS Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead site risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Establish and implement site-specific WHS standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with local regulations and global best practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs to promote a culture of safety among employees and contractors.
  • Conduct regular safety audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injuries.
  • Investigate incidents and occupational injuries, and develop recommendations to prevent similar incidents in the future.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of WHS activities, including incident reports, safety audits, and training records.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and global WHS standards, including OSHA and ISO 45001.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of employees and contractors in the event of an emergency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in WHS, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and management.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop recommendations to improve WHS performance.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
