Job Summary:

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for facilitating the shipping of products from one destination to another, arranging transportation, and coordinating deliveries to meet customer demand with minimal delay.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Facilitate Shipping and Transportation: Ensure the smooth movement of goods from one location to another, taking into account factors such as transportation costs, delivery times, and customer requirements.
  2. Coordinate Logistics Operations: Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with minimal delay.
  3. Manage Inventory and Warehouse Operations: Oversee the inventory of goods and vehicles, ensuring that warehouse capacity is maintained at optimal levels.
  4. Optimize Freight Costs: Continuously review freight costs, transportation rates, and raw material prices to minimize expenses.
  5. Streamline Shipping Processes: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline shipping and transportation processes.
  6. Manage Heavy Equipment and Supplies: Oversee the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, as well as the supply of materials and labor to the site.
  7. Ensure Security and Compliance: Ensure the security of storage facilities and sites, as well as compliance with relevant regulations and laws.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  2. Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in logistics and transportation.
  3. Language Skills: Very good command of spoken and written English.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other relevant software.
