About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to join our team at VML South Africa. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the account, while contributing meaningful perspectives to the marketing and communication strategies and direction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Account Management: Coordinate and follow up with all internal departments to ensure efficient execution of tasks and projects.
  2. Client Liaison: Liaise between the company and the client to provide current information on the status of the account/job.
  3. Communication Management: Manage internal and external correspondence, including client communication, meeting reports, and other relevant documents.
  4. Brief Processing: Receive briefs from the client, process them through internal systems, ensure amendments are made by coordinating with relevant parties, receive client approval, and start execution.
  5. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare creative briefs, status reports, contact reports, and media briefs as needed to ensure a smooth operation of the account.
  6. Presentations and Quotations: Present and support creative work, send quotations and invoices to the client, and follow up accordingly.
  7. Client Relationship Building: Build a good relationship with the client and act as a resourceful point of contact.
  8. Support and Proactivity: Provide support for the account's planner and think proactively to ensure the account's success.
  9. Market Research and Analysis: Undertake market visits, conduct preliminary research, and prepare competitive reviews as needed.
  10. Financial Management: Ensure all financial documents are filed appropriately and the account's budget control sheet is updated regularly.
Requirements
  1. Education: BS/BA in Marketing or Advertising specialization.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of advertising experience.
  3. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office.
  4. Communication and Creative Skills: Strong communication and creative skills.
  5. Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  6. General Awareness: General awareness of society and interest in brands.
  7. Resourcefulness: Resourceful in finding information and help.
  8. Proactivity: Eager to pitch-in on anything and willing to take on new challenges.
