Job Description

Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, seeks an experienced Professional Development Director to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the Director of Attorney Development and other Managers on the Professional Development (PD) team to design and implement innovative programs to onboard, train, mentor, develop, engage, and retain attorneys with a focus on associates and professional development initiatives.

The successful candidate will lead or contribute to projects across the firm, such as Associate Retreats, Associate Review Process, and Mentor programs. Additionally, they will manage and lead firmwide projects and have regional office responsibilities, including:

  • Developing a deep understanding of each office culture
  • Fostering relationships and effectively communicating with Managing Shareholders and Career Development Liaisons (CDLs)
  • Developing and administering training programs that meet professional development goals

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be a team player, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They will also have a passion for driving change and delivering innovative solutions, with a strategic approach to work.

Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys in the Middle East and other global offices as needed
  • Develop and implement local programming in partnership with CDLs
  • Serve as the point person for CLDP and CPD programs internally and with regulatory agencies
  • Provide associate orientation and integration into the office and firm
  • Work with associates on individual career development plans
  • Meet with business leaders and other departments to discuss PD initiatives
  • Monitor the mentor program and ensure all associates have mentors
