Job Overview

  1. CARE seeks an experienced Accounting Director to lead our accounting function, driving strategic growth and profitability.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Process and record daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  2. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
  3. Prepare and review financial statements to ensure they accurately reflect CARE's financial position.
  4. Process and review employee expense reports, invoices, and vendor payments to ensure compliance with company policies.
  5. Manage accounts receivable and cash reconciliations.
  6. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend solutions for improvement.
  7. Mentor and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the agricultural industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP.
  4. Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  6. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
