About the Role

Eram Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Instrumentation Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Oil & Energy industry. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of instrumentation systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance Engineering: Responsible for maintenance engineering work related to all instrument equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
  2. Equipment Expertise: Serve as a subject-matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root-cause investigations.
  3. Engineering Support: Provide engineering support to plant issues impacting production over a short period of time.
  4. Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluate equipment's durability and conditions.
  5. Engineering Input: Ensure that requests for equipment critical to work process include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc., and if necessary provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data.
  6. Documentation: Ensure that repairs, repair techniques, equipment specific training, are documented and accessible.
  7. PPM Coordination: Support the PPM coordinator as required in reviewing spare parts' list for existing equipment.
  8. Maintenance Strategy: Develop maintenance's operating discipline and provide maintainability input to projects.
  9. Reporting: Enter QSPP information into the reporting system.
  10. Budgeting: Participate in developing the maintenance budget to support the maintenance strategy.
  11. Engineering Input to Work Packages: As required, provide engineering input to work packages to ensure standards are followed.
  12. Work Order Development: Provide input on development of work orders, particularly on critical equipment that requires engineering review.
  13. Compliance: Comply with EH&S guidelines and overall safety processes.
  14. Additional Responsibilities: Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance engineering within the Oil & Energy sector.
  • Knowledge: Good understanding of maintenance and turnaround work process.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of control systems, PLCs, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
  • Diagnostic Tools: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for instrumentation analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Commitment to Safety: Commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations and standards.
