About the Role

As a Production Technician at Hitachi Energy, you will be part of our High Voltage Business team based in Saudi Arabia. Your primary responsibility will be to assemble GIS components and modules into complete bays, ensuring outstanding performance, quality, and cost efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Fulfilling orders related to work packages according to production data and instructions provided by assigned foremen.
  2. Performing assembly and repair activities according to prepared work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
  3. Conducting routine tests of GIS assembled units, as well as components and modules, in accordance with prepared work instructions, drawings, checklists, guidelines, and customer order data.
  4. Striving for excellence in terms of quality, cost, and delivery time.
  5. Self-checking work packages' results, completing and confirming assigned checklists and protocols.
  6. Supporting the collection of product improvement comments/feedback from GIS LSC (local Service Center) engineers.
  7. Properly handling factory equipment and tools, maintaining equipment, and ensuring continuous calibration.
  8. Actively supporting teamwork, effective communication, and collaboration with internal customers, stakeholders, or colleagues (assembly, testing, logistics, etc.).
  9. Independently following factory rules and guidelines related to safety, quality, environment, recycling, and housekeeping.
  10. Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to ABB-HSE guidelines and reporting any irregularities.
  11. Contributing actively to the continuous improvement process and Lean culture.
  12. Providing feedback, sharing ideas, and observations whenever possible.
  13. Performing any tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfill job requirements.
  14. Embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 1-2 years of experience in a production facility (assembly & testing). You should have a solid understanding of the lean concept and be able to minimize waste. Additionally, you should be proficient in both spoken and written English language.
